Our Team
We are a family oriented practice with a passion for helping our patients improve their quality of life. Our friendly therapists have an average of 25 years of experience in physical therapy treatment and our office staff has an average of over 27 years of experience helping patients with their physical therapy routines. At Southern Idaho Therapy Services, our patients always come first. You will feel relaxed and comfortable throughout your therapy session, whether you have had surgery, need injury rehabilitation, or struggle from physical limitations, our therapists will utilize a variety of techniques to help you reach your goals.
Davee Mussmann
PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT), DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY (DPT)
Davee was born in Butte, Montana and raised in Meirose, Montana. She graduated from The University of Montana with her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1991 and in 2005, returned to school to complete her transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University.
Soon after graduation in 1991, she moved to Idaho and was employed by Southern Idaho Therapy Services as a staff therapist. She credits her husband for her move to Idaho as she never pictured herself leaving Montana. Davee and her husband Marlin live in Murtaugh where they enjoy a small ranch raising horses and cattle. They frequently visit Montana as all three of their children, Marlee, Garrett and Kynsee reside in the state.
Davee focuses on delivering care with an individualized approach, paying close attention to the patient’s goals and helping them to improve their physical abilities as well as their overall life experience. She loves people and enjoys seeing a variety of patients with different conditions and different ages, rural physical therapy at its best.
Davee is part owner and clinic manager for Southern Idaho Therapy Services.
Jeff Baldwin
MASTERS of PHYSICAL THERAPY (MPT), (MS)
Jeff grew up in Idaho Falls and has lived in, Utah, Idaho, and Arizona while pursuing his training over the years. He has a Master’s degree in exercise physiology and another Master’s in physical therapy. He has worked in rehabilitation since 1990 and has always enjoyed the opportunity to help others return to their normal life pursuits. One of his favorite personal hobbies is strength training and fitness which helps him be more aware of just what it is that he is asking of his patients. This hobby also makes it easier for him to be innovative in his approach to some of the therapeutic exercises he prescribes. He also enjoys old cars, shooting, outdoor activities on the river, and especially spending time with his family. He has two adult children who each have married wonderful spouses.
Jeff and Kali have lived here since 2003 and really appreciate the close-knit atmosphere of the Mini-Cassia area. Jeff is a long-time member of the APTA and IPTA and part-owner of Southern Idaho Therapy Services.
Maria E. Hernandez
MASTERS of PHYSICAL THERAPY (MPT)
Maria is a Rupert native who attended Idaho State University in Pocatello to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1991, followed by her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1993. She has been employed by Southern Idaho Therapy Services since 1993 in the Rupert office when home health services were just becoming a more popular delivery of physical therapy intervention. Since that time, Maria has had additional training in home health care, delivery of school based PT services, wound care, and courses in vestibule rehabilitation.
Maria has been married to her high school sweetheart, Miguel, since 1992, and they have three children. Maria and her family attend Minico sports activities with their youngest child. Maria’s two oldest children have married and moved out of the area.
Maria became part owner of Southern Idaho Therapy Services in 2009 and enjoys the many aspects of therapy that she provides. She has been a member of the APTA (America Physical Therapy Association) since 1991 as a student.
Matt McKee
PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT) and DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY (DPT)
Matt graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa Bay, FL with his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in May of 2019. Prior to graduate school, he attended BYU-Idaho and earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science in April of 2014. He met his wife in Rexburg, Idaho and they were married in July 2012 in the Bountiful Utah Temple.
Matt grew up in a rural farming community and lived on the family farm in Cambridge, ID. He loved playing sports such as football and basketball in high school and with competitive leagues in college. Matt was also involved with other organizations and earned his Eagle Scout & American FFA Degree. He loves sports and has helped with sports medicine and coaching with the local Minico Varsity Football team.
Matt became motivated to become a physical therapist after playing football in high school where he fractured his femur. His physical therapist later became a mentor to him, and he knew that he wanted to do the same for others in the future. Matt enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, etc. He loves spending time at home with his wife and his young son.
Linsey Sunderland
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA)
Linsey is a lifelong resident of Minidoka County. She grew up on a farm South of Rupert where she moved handlines and helped take care of livestock. She has always enjoyed an active lifestyle, participating in track and cross-country in high school.
Linsey became interested in physical therapy while attending the College of Southern Idaho. She graduated form the PTA program in 2016. She began working for Southern Idaho Physical Therapy shortly after graduation. The things she enjoys most about working in physical therapy include interacting with the clients and helping them achieve their mobility goals. She is particularly adept at geriatric care and manual therapy.
Since graduation, Linsey has continued to expand her knowledge of physical therapy techniques and practices through continuing education courses. In her spare time, Linsey likes to hike, camp, and explore the beauty of the outdoors. She also enjoys national parks and spending time with her family.
